Event Outline
May 28
- There will be a pasta dinner fundraiser at Mr. Biggs Sports Bar and Grill. It will go from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm. There will be entertainment from Mitch Dorge (former drummer of Crash Test Dummies) and a buffet style dinner. Tickets will be available at the Puce Sports and Leisure Centre, Lakeshore OPP Detachment or by emailing lakeshorecommunitypolicing@xplornet.com for $10.00 each.
June 7
- A pancake breakfast will be held at Mr. Biggs Sports Bar and Grill to fundraise for the Music for Life event later that day. Doors open at 9:00am and the food will be served until 11:00am. Tickets are $5.00 per person, or $8.00 for a plate and admission ticket to the event later that day.
- There will be a parade from Mr. Biggs, through town, up to Birchwood, through to the Arena. All Lakeshore school students are invited to be a part of the parade, and carry an anti-drug sign. The parade will go from 11:30am until 12:30pm (tentative).
- Once arrived at the arena, the singing of O'Canada will take place by St. John the Baptist student, Tasha Toulouse. Following O'Canada, a couple other songs will be performed by Tasha. This will go from 12:45pm until 1:00pm.
- 1:00pm marks the start of the band performances. The band scheduling is to be determined, so check back for updates. The bands will perform until 6:00pm.
- At 6:00pm until 7:00pm, the rap artists (Lord Q and J_Finn) will be performing.
- From 7:00pm until 10:00pm, there will be a dance for ages 11 and up. The dance will be put on by DJ Knuckles of J.C. Entertainment.
The 2008 theme is Drug Awareness.
